Winter '17 Optic & Origin

Optic Longsleeve

​Drawing inspiration from Chicago’s snowy winters, we decided to go with a blue triangular pattern that captured the vibes of the season. The triangle pattern is reminiscent of the movement inside of a kaleidoscope, which visually shifts and changes to create an optic illusion. The patterned taping along the seams, pocket, and split hem are captivating, yet subtle. At a weight of 190gsm, this long sleeve is thicker than your average longsleeve, which serves as a great substitution for a sweater, while still being able to wear it out to a concert venue. Our premium longsleeves are proven to be high quality and exceptionally comfortable, consisting of a 50% cotton/50% polyester makeup.

Origin Snapback

Commemorating house music is a priority for EVOL Chicago. Our team’s love for house music as a whole inspired us to create a snapback that linked how far house music has evolved from the very origin. As a result, we designed an all over print composed of several house music subgenres. From deep, garage, and tech to electro, big, and future, we wanted all areas of house to be recognized. Complimenting our theme, we 3D embroidered the EVOL graphic logo along the front panel and added a leather embossed type logo to the left panel. A house tag is featured on the double button strap. The all over patterned inner lining resembles the production and light effects DJs use to captivate the crowd. To top it off, we paid homage to the older days when only vinyls were used in the house scene. We added a sophisticated touch to the inner lining tape by using stacks of colorful, old school vinyl record cases.
