React’s Freaky Deaky event, going on their 7th year now, is exactly where you want to find yourself this Halloween weekend. This time the annual, 2-day event expands into a 3-day Halloween themed festival, claiming its residence in Bridgeview, Illinois at Toyota Park. But just in case you’ve never been to a Freaky Deaky event before or you haven't made up your mind about what you're doing that weekend, EVOL Chicago came up with 4 reasons you won’t want to miss this one. 1. Freaky Deaky knows how to do Halloween right: If anyone knows how to throw a Halloween party, it’s Freaky Deaky. Bloody Beetroots, Griz, Big Gigantic, Flux Pavilion, and Nervo are just a few headliners that have graced the event. In 2013, Dada Life lead the party right into the Guinness Book of World Records, when they managed to host the world’s biggest pillow fight in Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom. If we have learned anything from previous years, whatever they have up their sleeve this time is not going to disappoint. 2. Be a part of something new: There really is nothing quite like being at an event that’s being held for the first time. Anyone that remembers the first Spring Awakening or first and only EDC Chicago can vouch for that. No, this may not be the first Freaky Deaky, but this is React’s first attempt to transition this annual, 2-day event into a 3-day festival. For Chicago, a 3-day Halloween themed festival is also a first. Either way, if this event stays an only or becomes an annual, it will definitely be legendary and you don't want to miss it!
3. Have you seen the Lineup?: What does React do when they have 3 days and Toyota Park to play with for a weekend... They bring together 75 acts, diverse enough to satisfy even the pickiest dance music enthusiast. Renowned acts like Armin Van Buuren, Pretty Lights, and Carnage are just some of the headliners; but the lineup is stacked to the top with incredible artists, so make sure you venture away from the main stage for a little while. Oliver Heldens (who’s been blowing up the house scene), Griz, Tchami, and local Chicago duo Midnight Conspiracy are just a few of the ones we’re really excited to catch. 4. There's no better place to let your freak flag fly!: Dress up, get rowdy, and dance your feet off! Pretty much everyone you see will probably be in costume, and everyone is there to have a good time. Most people willing to dance outside on these chilly Chicago nights have to be pretty awesome. Besides, there's no better place to make new friends or run into some old ones! EVOL Chicago will be attending Freaky Deaky so hope to see you there! We are also very excited to be releasing some new merchandise at Midwest Freak Fest on Saturday. It will be a great time so come on out, stop by our booth, and check out all our new releases! http://www.midwestfreakfest.com/ http://evolchicago.com/collections/all
