As some of you may know in October of 2013 Kaskade became the first electronic music act to play in Chicago's historic Navy Pier with his Atmosphere tour. It also happens to be where and when Evol Chicago got its start. Kaskade comes back in a few days and we could think of no better time to once again premier something new!
This Week there is not one but two major House music acts hitting Chicago, both coincidentally headlining at …you guessed it... Navy Pier. Kaskade with his Automatic tour, and Disclosure will be gracing the Windy City this week and house heads everywhere are definitely rejoicing. While they are not playing on the same night, Disclosure is joined on Thursday night by an incredible house legend Claude Von Stroke, who will be opening.
We're over the moon about Kaskade returning this Saturday. With all of the media hype trickling out about Automatic and seeing Kaskade's incredible enthusiasm on social media about playing in his home town, the Chicago stop of this tour is sure to be one of the best. Evol Chicago is so excited to come out to where it all started and fly our flag for him one more time. If its anything like the world rocking, panoramic experience that Atmosphere was you might want to consider canceling your plans and hightailing it over to the Pier this Saturday for an unforgettable night. Trust us when we say you'll want to experience it live instead of vicariously over snapchat .Knowing the overall production and creativity Kaskade and his team always bring with them this is going to be a hard show to forget.
Two days earlier Disclosure will roll into Navy Pier with the Wildlife Tour, and don't be turned off that it's on a Thursday. Going is without doubt a no brainier because this British duo never disappoints. Evol Chicago got to hang out a little with the artists, Howard and Guy Lawrence, when we caught up to them at Austin City Limits this past weekend. They could not be more excited about playing Chicago this week, and pumped us up even more (as if that's possible) about catching their set. Quite possibly just as cool as their enthusiasm for returning to Chicago was their support for Evol! They showed us some mad love by taking a few minutes to chat, take a couple of pictures, and they even signed a flag!
Disclosure loves playing in Chicago and Chicago loves to come out in full force for them. House lovers in the city know where they're going this Thursday to get their fix that's for sure.
Whichever show you choose there's absolutely no risk of going wrong, but if you are still on the fence (and going to both is sadly not an option) check out the amazing new albums each artist recently dropped. Disclosure's Caracal and Kaskade's Automatic, both offer up incredible collaborations and those sweet house beats we know and love. We're warning you, it won't be an easy choice!
